Agents of M.A.S.K.

AOM LOGOAs (finally) promised, I had the chance last night to sit down and record the next episode of MASKast with Jason and Wyatt of Agents of M.A.S.K. (previously known as M.A.S.K. Movie Blog). Our lives and schedules did not sync up for a good long while, unfortunately. But after all these months the three of us were able to sit down and chat about the DC Comics original four issue mini-series. The exact release date for the podcast is in the hands of Jason and Wyatt, as they need to edit and publish the final product, but they assured me that it would be a priority job. Speaking of Jason and Wyatt – they have recently relaunched their M.A.S.K. work as Agents of M.A.S.K., here are some excerpts from their launch article:

After over three years of promoting ourselves as “M.A.S.K. the Movie”, we felt is was time for a fresh start…

…So, instead of focusing mainly on bringing M.A.S.K. to the big screen, we want our script to be an equal part in the new “Agents of M.A.S.K.” brand…

…In summary, we want to promote M.A.S.K. in multiple ways and at the same time, work toward bringing the community of fans together.

ComicPageMASK_#002_016I wish them the best of luck and as always will be happy to support them just as they support boulder-hill.net. The link on the sidebar has been updated to reflect their new site (the old site automatically redirects to their new location). Jason has also volunteered to provide scans of more instruction manuals. These scans will allow our shirt library on RedBubble to grow – keep an eye out for Thunderhawk and Switchblade!

While recording with the guys I mentioned that I have been sitting on a rare M.A.S.K. item for some time now – and that because it ties so directly into the topic of the podcast I would finally get around to adding it to the site. The item in question is actually an original page from the M.A.S.K. comic series. To be specific, it is page 16, from issue #2. I was fortunate enough to purchase this great work directly from the inker of the comics himself, Joe Del Beato.

On the left is the colored printed version and on the right is the original artwork. A full sized image has been added to the Merchandise portion of boulder-hill.net.

Hopefully, Jason finds time too get those images and our next update can showcase a variety of new t-shirts, see you then!
