That’s right folks! The headline does not lie!
Carsten Sacher, who has made many life sized mask replicas has partnered with Agents of M.A.S.K. to give away one of his Spectrum masks. The full details can be found on Agents of M.A.S.K.
Enter now, I sure am!
Happy new year! For everyone reading this, you made it, and so has Boulder-Hill.net. Just before the year ended, Hasbro made the big announcement that, as part of a multi-picture plan, M.A.S.K. would be developed for the big screen. I shared this on Facebook, which many of you saw. Jason and Wyatt were also gracious enough to invite me to talk with them on MASKast Chat.
As usual, we had a great time, even if we didn’t solve any of the big world issues. That episode is getting added to the Audio section of the site here, so feel free to have a listen.
In closing, the new year will bring new stuff to Boulder-Hill.net. I have toys, merchandise and tons of other good stuff that will make it’s way up onto the site. Many thanks to all the visitors and supporters who have found their way to this small corner of the internet!
Thirty years ago, if you wanted M.A.S.K. toys you couldn’t go on eBay and type in a few key words and have them magically appear in front of you. The options were a lot more limited. Kids could either drag their parents into a toy or department store, or, they could look through one of the big Christmas catalogs that were put out each year. Unfortunately, we can’t still order from them. But as a Christmas treat, I am happy to present the Montgomery Ward Christmas Gifts ’85 catalog M.A.S.K. pages!
Seeing these catalog pages really makes you wish for a time machine. Who wouldn’t want to sleep in their M.A.S.K. sleeping bag, or eat a bowl of cereal wearing M.A.S.K. pajamas. At least we can enjoy these pictures. With that said, merry Christmas and a happy new year, see you in 2016!
At this point the United States Postal Service assures me that the winners have received their prizes. I didn’t want to put up any photos of the prizes before hand because I wanted it to be a surprise. But that’s not a problem anymore! So now we can take a look at just what was in those packages!
On the left you have the grand prize, which went to Chris. It includes:
- M.A.S.K. Lunchbox
- ‘The Deathstone’ Novelization
- Best of M.A.S.K. DVD
- M.A.S.K. Mini Comic #2
- StickerFixer Condor Label Set
- Brad Turner
- Sly Rax
- Ali Bombay
- Buddie Hawks
- Thunderhawk Sticker
- Sealed M.A.S.K. Sticker pack
- Original Boulder-Hill.net Cards
Hopefully Chris is enjoying all the loot! He wasn’t the only one to win. Because so many people entered, I decided to create a runner-up prize, which went to Greg. He received:
- Matt Trakker
- Miles Mayhem
- Original Boulder-Hill.net Cards
I have not heard from them, so I can only assume they are busy posing and playing with their new toys. Enjoy them guys – sorry I could not send everyone who entered a prize, I really wish I could.
But wait! We’ve got more! What update would be complete without something new. Fresh from across the Atlantic Ocean Boulder-Hill.net is proud to bring you the European exclusive Matt Trakker with Lava Shot. This variant features Matt with a black shirt, pink pants and pink Lavashot. You can check out photos of this new figure on the M.A.S.K. Agents page of the site.
That’s all for now. With 2015 winding down hopefully I can squeeze one more update before the new year. Keep checking back for more M.A.S.K. toys and news.
Unfortunately, October was a busy month for my non-M.A.S.K. world. While new stuff came in, nothing new went up. So let’s cover a few things that have been on the to-do list.
First and foremost, to the winners of the giveaway contest, I must apologize. Your prizes are very late! But they are on their way.
They are now all packed up and ready to go to the post office. Addresses have been blurred to protect everyones secret identity! We wouldn’t want Miles Mayhem or VENOM to find out where people live.
Next up, for some fun stuff, Jason from Agents of M.A.S.K. has created a new video that stars everyones favorite robotic sidekick – T-Bob. The video is a montage of scenes showcasing the moments where T-Bob actually was useful (yes, it happened). The video is up on their YouTube channel. Give it a watch and subscribe to the channel to get notified of future videos.
Finally, we have a bit of a milestone on Boulder-Hill.net today. Thanks to Bill of Matt-Trakker.com I now am able to present photos of the box for everyones favorite mobile command center, Rhino. Rhino was the only Series 1 toy for which Boulder-Hill.net did not have box images. So with these additions I can turn my eye towards acquiring the boxes for the missing Series 2 toys, Slingshot and Volcano.
Sadly, that’s all we have time for today. There’s always more stuff to talk about than time. I promise the end of 2015 will bring more updates and content!
Thirty years ago today, M.A.S.K. made its television today. Flash forward to present day and it seems unlikely that the creators imagined people would still be collecting the toys and watching the show. It seems just as unlikely that this site is six years old. If you visited Boulder-Hill.net last year you probably remember that the M.A.S.K. Day update was a big one, hopefully this year does not disappoint.
There has been a lot more interest in my contest than I ever expected. When I initially started it I was not sure if anyone would bother to enter. That has certainly not been the case!
While I wish I could send everyone a M.A.S.K. gift, that is just not possible. However, I made the decision to add a second place winner to my contest. That person will receive a prize as well! So that means you have two chances to be a winner here!
If you are sitting there scratching your head and saying ‘what contest…’, then you should probably go to the original contest details here.
On a side note, my pals Jason and Wyatt from Agents of M.A.S.K. and Bill of Matt-Trakker.com will be at RetroCon this weekend with none other than the voice of Matt Trakker, Doug Stone! If you are in the Pennsylvania area, consider checking it out.
Last year a bunch of people got together to celebrate the anniversary of M.A.S.K. (we actually got the date wrong though!). There has been a little more research and we are 99% sure we have the right date now. That date, September 30th, will mark the thirtieth anniversary of M.A.S.K. And just like last year there is a lot of preparation and thought going on.
Visitors can be assured that there will be a big update on the site to celebrate M.A.S.K.’s birthday. But this time we are going to try something new. To say thanks to the people who have supported and visited Boulder-Hill.net over the years, I am putting on a giveaway contest. The winner will receive an assortment of M.A.S.K. related items to add to their collection.
There are three ways you can enter. Post a comment on Facebook, comment on the website, or send an email directly. The winner will be announced on M.A.S.K. day (September 30th, if you were not paying attention).
I will be keeping the details of the prize package a secret for now. However, I can guarantee that if you are a M.A.S.K. fan you will enjoy it. Given that this is not a big corporate contest there are no restrictions on who can enter; family, friends, people under 18 (the prize is M.A.S.K. items after all). Good luck to everyone and check back in a few weeks to see if you are the winner!
In the wake of the potential re-development of M.A.S.K., Jason and Wyatt, of Agents of M.A.S.K., invited myself and Bill Farries, of Matt-Trakker.com, to sit down and talk about our reaction to one of the first official acknowledgements of the franchise in twenty-five years. You can see the original video chat on the Agents of M.A.S.K. YouTube channel, or have a listen to the edited audio version on the Boulder-Hill.net Audio page.
If you are active on Facebook then you probably already saw this, but if not then sit yourself down for some very exciting news!
In a recent slideshow press release on the Hasbro website they included a section called ‘New Brands’. What does that have to do with M.A.S.K., a thirty year old franchise, look for yourself.
We don’t know why M.A.S.K. is listed as a new brand, maybe new in development? That’s all that is known so far. If and when any new info comes up you can be sure it will appear here on Boulder-Hill.net!
